Hi, Been trying for years to get a Lexmark Z2420 printer, which works fine on Windows, working on recent Ubuntu distros without success. No compatible driver or .ppd file since Ubuntu 10.10 and Lexmark gave up their support.
I am dual-booting Ubuntu and Windows. I can't get my ubuntu to print to my printer. I saw somewhere that linux does to work well with Lexmark printers. Is there any work around to get ubuntu to print to my printer. My printer is a Lexmark X5410
Im would like to buy a printer. I already have a lexmark x2670 and have been horrible to make it work (wich still without working) so...I want to know what printer brand is good to use and easy to install in ubuntu oneiric (11.10)?
I'm trying to setup my printer, which is a Lexmark x1150, It predates my Ubuntu install, I didn't buy it for linux. Ubuntu doesn't find drivers for it automatically, I tried picking the closest one which I think is x1050 or somesuch, but that's not working.
The Lexmark site has no linux drivers for the X11xx series
