[ubuntu] Precise armhf AC100 BBC video and Iplayer probs

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi, I'm running Precise on an AC100 which can't use a Flashplayer (hardfloat). On the AC100 both Midori and Chrome run HTML5 video perfectly on YouTube, Dailymotion , pretty much everywhere except on the BBC sites and BBC Iplayer. I have tried setting a "mobile" (IPhone/Ipad etc) User Agent String to tempt the BBC into allowing me to sidestep the "wrong version of Flashplayer" bit.... The video will start to load OK and then stop with the Big Red Button and lock up the machine. I thought that Chromium worked "out of the box" on Precise Armhf but it doe (Hardware)

I'm trying to get iPlayer Desktop to work on my Ubuntu 12.04 machine.

I have installed Air and the iPlayer Desktop program all OK, and it starts up no worries.

The problem I have is when I browse the iPlayer site with either Firefox or Chromium, and find something to download and click the "Download via iPlayer Desktop" link, it just takes me to the "Install iPlayer

I use my Toshiba ac 100 with ubuntu. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ARM/TEGRA/AC100

The chromium version is now up to "Version 25.0.1364.160" in the repo but the version from my arm netbook is still on "22.0.1229.94 Ubuntu 12.10 (161065)".

Why are there no new releases for arm?

Just got a new (well secondhand) pc and installed 12.04 on it, moved my video card over as well, but despite installing (and uninstalling, then re-installing) my video card, the system does not recognise it, it just says "unknown" and "standard" instead of "Nvidia EN8400GS" and "enhanced" as it did in my previous install.

On 11.10 I could change the backlight without root privileges.
