[ubuntu] Postgres Error while installing any package

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi , I used to get the following error(related to postgres database) while trying to install anything using apt-get command. Code: test@test-machine:/var/cache/apt/archives$ sudo apt-get install zip Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree      Reading state information... Done zip is already the newest version. The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:   libqt4-assistant libqt4-webkit virtuoso-nepomuk Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them. 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded. 3 not fu (Hardware)

Hi everybody.

I ended up with some broken packages after installing updates.

When I do sudo apt-get -f install, I get the same error which is

Code: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree      Reading state information... Done Correcting dependencies...

root@cunix:/home/cunix# sudo apt-get remove fern-wifi-cracker Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information...

I've encountered this problem and searched and tried many of the suggestions I've found to no avail. This occurs on Lucid, 2.6.32-39-generic.

For example, sudo apt-get autoremove gives:

Code: sudo apt-get autoremove Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree      Reading state information...

Code: root@bt:~# apt-get install twofi Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree      Reading state information...

So, yeah. I'll just post this:

Code: $ sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree      Reading state information...

After writing sudo apt-get install g++, it's showing error and how to resolve this error ?
