Hi all!
I'm having a tough time installing my wireless network card on Ubuntu. I have been following this how-to https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...er/Ndiswrapper
I have installed ndiswrapper and ndisgtk.
I have a Toshiba Satellite L645 laptop. I installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS alongside with Windows 7. At first, everything worked fine. But today my Ubuntu system has a problem. It detects every wireless network in the area except my own. I found that my wireless network is 'hidden', although I didn't do anything with its settings at all.
Hello all,
I am newbie to ubuntu and I installed ubuntu 10.04 along with windows XP. I am using compaq 610 laptop and using NETGEAR for wireless connection.
I created a new wireless connection in Network Manager with the security key, but unfortunately it is not connected.
Hi I just deleted my windows XP and installed Ubuntu 9.10 earlier this morning. I used wired connection to get drivers for my wireless network card.
When I did lspci, the very last line states:
Network Controller: Broadcom Coporation BCM4311 902.11b/g WLAN(rev 01)
I am running a desktop computer with and Asus motherboard and AMD Phenom II x 4 processor. It is a 65 bit machine. I installed Ubuntu 12.10 last week and am still trying to get the wireless usb adapter working. I installed a driver for this device using the Windows Wireless Drivers App (ndisgtk). The driver is bcmwlhigh63 which I got from the Netgear site.
Running 10.04 on Satellite Pro 4600 with Netgear WG511 v1 Wireless Card. Wireless PC Card appears to be working (running Windows Drivers) but home network is "not available", the neighbour's wireless networks are "available". Lenovo T61 running 10.04 up and running with no problems. Home wireless is Netgear C9G24N v2 with WPA security. How do I "find" my home Wifi?
I moved from 10.04 to 12.04 by clean install. Previously I've had to use additional drivers, but 12.04 seems to recognise my wireless card no problem. The card can see my home network. Wired networking is okay.
No matter how I configure the wifi network, 12.04 will not connect; keeps looping back to 'Authentication required by wireless network'.
Hi, I got a problem with my wireless network, the thing
is that i can get the cable to work but not the wireless network on my laptop.
I found this:

"This driver works well on Lucid.
I recently installed Ubuntu 10.4 on my new Dell Studio 1558. After installing the broadcom proprietary driver for my wireless card, the wireless for my laptop worked fine.
