Dropped my phone recently and had to have the screen replaced.
Got the phone back and the system had pretty much been wiped.
Now if I stream videos they only play on a very small screen. When I try to enlarge them I just get black screen.
Never had this problem pre repair.
Any ideas?
It’s somewhat apt that Ubuntu’s ‘Lenses’ feature has brought Unity into clearer focus for many of its initial critics.
The search-orientated display windows
– called ‘Lenses’ – make finding specific files, apps or information
easy to do thanks to their tuned ‘search backends’ – called Scopes’.
Below are 10 of the best Lenses and Scopes available for Ubuntu 11.10 “Oneiric Ocelot” an
Most of the Unity Lenses and scopes, that adds extra functionality to dash menu have been updated to work with Ubuntu 12.04. Some lenses like Wikipedia lens are new releases.
A Lens adds an extra new category to Unity dash allowing you to find specific results from local sources, web and even do calculations. A Scope adds a new source to an existing lens.
I notice it is hard to detect the screen on note 2. I would like to use the swipe on screen edge function on certain app like switchapps to switch between apps.
But it is hard to make note 2 detect while swiping the phone edge.
anyone know how or any solution to make swipe on screen edge works?
Hey, unfortunately my screen broke. The phone works, but the touch screen doesn't. I have i new phone i will put to use, but there are certain things I would like to transfer from the old phone to the SD-card.
Is there anything i could do, to get access to my phone? Remove the screen or something? :)
One of the advantages of Unity is the screen real estate optimization it can bring to desktop by combining global menu and window controls on top panel.
If you don't like other components of Unity interface like the launcher on left, lenses, dash etc, there is a way to disable them and use a custom dock. This can be done by making a custom session f

I'm having problems with my phone. My warranty is already over btw. My phone is having a black screen, but the touchscreen works. The rest of the phone works. Vibration, keypad buttons etc. I disassembled my phone, removing the front screen (I think its the digitizer/touchscreen) with the connection.
I think my phone has a flaw with the touchscreen system. Any app (games mostly, in my use) that requires a dragging action on the screen, will eventually result in a crash. If all I do is tap on the screen, I'm generally fine, but swiping or dragging will get me a system freeze & crash within a couple minutes use.
My system details - DX, 621, rooted, running kY's modded factory ROM.
