Here's a new concept that will help reduce locked accounts for Corporate users permanently:
Installation: Downloaded WUBI from Ubuntu site today; therefore, I presume this is the latest version of WUBI. The first screen requires a user name and password. I enter both and receive an error message "Passwords do not match."
The screen does not have a field to enter a 'verify' password. I've never had Ubuntu installed on this machine.
I installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my Windows 7 laptop using wubi. I provided simple username and password while running wubi. But on reboot when Ubuntu asks me username and password, I enter the same details, still it says Invalid Password, Please Try Again eveytime. I actually reinstalled and tried it for 5 times with different but simple usernames and passwords. Still the same result. Please help!
i am posting for first time, sorry if this is not the right place...
i have windows 7 username "lolax" and no password...
i installed ubuntu 12.10 in d drive using wubi...(inside windows which can be uninstalled from control panel) when installing it asks username and password, i entered "tanmay" as username and some password...
Tried Googling, tried net use, and anything I could, with no results.
I have a PC with users, and I have a network server with shared folders.
Hi gurus, I am trying to match records in following format:
Code:
(-,username,domain1.co.uk)\
(-,username,domain2.co.uk)
either awk or perl must be used. I am using cygwin.
I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 and trying to install a printer over the network which is plugged into a Windows 7 machine.
I can see the workgroup fine and the computer fine on the network, but when I try to double-click on the computer (both via the nautilus and the printer setup route), it asks me for a username, workgroup and password.
I have a Toshiba Satellite Z930. It came with Windows 7 pre-installed and I want to install Ubuntu as well. Unfortunately the Ubuntu installer doesn't give the me option I require, which is to "install Ubuntu alongside Windows 7".
The system recognizes the signal and asks me to input the network password, which matches; but when asked for the second password, the "nm connection editor", the password doesn't match. Isn't that password the same as the log on?
