http://ubuntuforums.org – i apologize if i can't ask about particular software here in this forum but i need a serious help. i had exported the openoffice calc sheet as a pdf file earlier, it used to work well but it has been days whenever i press the icon for "directy export as a pdf", whole of openoffice calc fades and hangs there until i force kill to shut it down! any solution?? (Hardware)

When i save an openoffice Calc Document in Microsoft Excel File all the Greek characters are appeared with the symbol "?". The only solution is to save it to *.xls from the windows version of OO.org. Can this problem be solved??

I want Also to notice that OpenOffice Calc Crushes too many times in some particular functions.

I just upgraded to ubuntu 12.04, and it's mostly working. My biggest problem so far: OpenOffice/LibreOffice Calc doesn't show up under the task switcher.

When I pres alt-tab to change windows, I can see all my windows except for any OpenOffice documents I have open.

When either renaming or moving/copying a worksheet, Openoffice calc immediately crashes.

This happens in both opensuse 11.1 and 11.2 using Openoffice unstable version 3.1.99.4

There is a problem with LibreOffice Calc (and sometimes gedit too) that when I open a file the minimize, maximize and close buttons in the upper right corner are not displayed.

I was looking for a simple command line calculator and found calc to be simple and useful and it turns out it is installed on our server.

However, when I tried simple calculation like:

calc 3/(1+2)

It gave me this error message:

-bash: syntax error near unexpected token `('

However, this works fine:

calc 3*(1+2)

3*(1

So for some strange reason today anything I print in OpenOffice Calc comes out in Landscape mode.

I have tried the following:

Set the print job from OO Calc to portrait (prints out in landscape) Tried opening a brand new file which by default is set to portrait (prints out in landscape) Setting the default printer job orientation to portrait (prints out in landscape) Print from gedit in portrai

When i want to run the calculator, i click on unity first icon (dashboard?), and then i start to type :

ca : is showing the calculator as first result (probably because zeitgeist recorded that its the app i use the most) cal : is still showing the calculator as first result calc : is showing libreoffice calc as first result

It's annoying because if i hit "enter" libreoffice calc is launched :(
