I've been trying to get Wordpress to work on my Ubuntu 10.04 LTS system and nothing seems to work. I did everything as i should (according to http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress) but I still can't access the Wordpress Setup Configuration page.

I've been trying to wget wordpress.
It starts downloading, and after 5 - 10 seconds it stops.
I either get a timeout or a retry.
Does anyone know what might cause this?

I have installed WordPress first installation on Apache server
Its opening fine but when i logged in with my user id and password
http://examplesite.com/wp-login.php
It is showing blank in Firefox and in IE page not open with no errors.
I cleared all my browsers cache history still not able to open the page after login.
There is no errors logs generated.

I'm having a little issue with running a web server on 12.10. I installed xampp which went smoothly and then I installed wordpress which was also without problem. Now when I go to the site on my local network, it works just fine. When I try to access it remotely.

Recently I start running WordPress org building websites instead of using html editor. It is quite convenient. Drupal is another tool similar to WordPress. To build finance websites which of them shall I use? TIA

This is my problem:
- I install and configure apache,php,mysql-server
- configure database on mysql and wp-config od Wordpress
- upload files wordpress in to public_html
and... i see results "blank page".
What is it? Where is problem?
I'm confused :) I'm using #! r20111125 fully updated with Iceweasel. Any *.wordpress.com site (specifically www.wordpress.com and the site I am interested in) are not displaying correctly -- they look as though the style sheet (CSS) has not loaded -- all text in one long page with plain formatting.I use NoScript and have enabled all domains and allowed all cookies.
