Hi there,
I was recently unpleasant with U1 taking too much time to sync files that were shared with me.... So I attempted to install the most up to date version... --> Big fail
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntuone/nightlies
The must up to date version does not have a preference menu (GUI) compatible with Ubuntu 10.04...
I wanted to upgrade a very old version of ubuntu to recent one so I made the following steps:
1) I created a large (over 30GB) tar.gz archive containing all data from my home directory
2) Moved it to ntfs partition
3) Launched ubuntu (12.04) from cd
4) Resized the ntfs partition during installation
5) Completed the installation
Then I launched my brand new ubuntu and wanted to copy the archive so
OS version:Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Hello. I have desktop pc running Ubuntu 10.04, without internet connection and want to upgrade python on it. I downloaded sources on another pc, configured, installed, it shows me python 2.7 binaries, upgraded 2.6 as well from 2.6.5 to 2.6.8, but when i try installing wicd-gtk it says that my python version is 2.6.5. Any idea how to make it see changes?
Thanks in advice,
Dracco
