I have signed up for the Ubuntu one service today. I have been using Ubuntu lucid on my computer for a long time . I just find the Ubuntu one storage and sync service recently and i would like to set that for my backups.
I have been trying to fix the sync problems since morning. It is afternoon now. I tried to add computer on my account as needed.
I have installed both Windows 8 RP and Ubuntu 12.04. I have a problem with file system sync between Windows 8 and Ubuntu. When I change any file or folder in my NTFS partition on Ubuntu Windows 8 do not get it. Windows complains about some file system errors. For example I have created a new folder and moved some pdf files in it under Ubuntu.
I cannot seem to upload files on any of the sync services.
I managed to sync 2MB of files via Ubuntu One, that took 30min, Dropbox and SpiderOak just start and then fizzle out. They show active sync in progress, but there is no actual progress.
I use Mobile Broadband USB wireless modem connection on a Compaq Pressario, Ubuntu 12.04.
I have a client that uses a windows program to manage his company. Custom and Old ERP. =(
Its running windows and it's have some *.gdb file in the db folder of the program.
Since i'm developing his online store, i need to sync, clients, products, stock and orders between the ERP and OnlineShop.
This gdb is interbase firebrird file?
I have Windows 8 machine with Ubuntu One client (seems to be 4.0.0, released on 2012/12/11). I have checked that when synchronization is active I can not write any file in the folders sync'd.
Curiously, I CAN copy files in the folders using file explorer but I can not, for example, download a file there using web explorer, chrome, firefox, acrobat reader, etc.
The last few days my Ubuntu One Folder won't update. When I save a file in it the Ubuntu One Client says it is being uploaded, but nothing happens, and I get no error message. I have the same problem on my work computer (running Windows) as on my Home computer (Ubuntu 11.10) I haven't to my knowledge changed anything, it worked fine before, and suddenly it stopped.
I have simple code in java:
public static void main(String[] args) throws InterruptedException {
while (true)
;
}
which cause 100% CPU usage on Linux and it is ok, but why it doesn't on Windows?
I use UbuntuOne on Ubuntu 12.04 and Windows 7. Everything synchronized fine for several months until a few weeks ago when UbuntuOne on Windows offered an update which I installed. Now my files on Windows 7 no longer sync even though it recognizes my username and password. It tries to sync and then quits. How do I fix this?
I put some folders contained 4 musics and 2 videos to my Ubuntu One folders when I was using my Ubuntu 12.04 laptop. Then I installed the latest version of Ubuntu One for Windows to get the shared files on my Windows 7 PC. But what is strange is I only get 2 of my musics sync successfully. I checked the files on the web interface and found all of them are just there.
