Hi All,
I'm using arm board which has ubuntu 10.04 LTS lucid on it. When i'm using onscreen keyboard (onboard application) with touch screen LCD, its logging out after 2 or 3 clicks on keyboard.
I verified onscreen keyboard with VGA and external mouse (without touch screen)and found that there is no issue.
In Unity, as in previous desktop environments, Alt-F2 brings up a Run field into which a command can be typed and executed.
A nice new feature is that as you type, programs that match the command appear below the field, from which you can select using the mouse.
Is there any way to select from those options using the keyboard?
I've tried tabbing but that doesn't seem to work.

My mouse is not working properly, So I enabled keyboard keys for Moving mouse arrow using
Universal Access > Pointing and Clicking > Mouse keys "On"
But Mouse Arrow moves very Slow using keyboard Keys. I want to move it in normal way as I move mouse, using keyboard keys(Numlock keys 2,4,6,8). How to solve this ?
I just installed 12.10 (clean install and updates). USB keyboard and mouse work fine EXCEPT the keyboard does not work in a terminal window (USB mouse is working in terminal). keyboard is Logitech MK320 and associated mouse. I'm typing in a mozilla window on the keyboard at this very moment and when I switch to the terminal window, nothing can be typed.
Any ideas?
I know that I can start onBoard on-screen keyboard using Terminal command "onboard".
With my VirtualBox guest 12.04 Unity system I can use HUD, enter "onboard" then lock onBoard to the Launcher for future use. (Oooh that's nice!):)
Is there a way to launch it on my host Ubuntu 10.04 system without running a Terminal?
Unity-greeter crashes, and constantly respawns, not letting me in. So, I configured auto login but that won't start anything except Unity session. I changed the lightdm.conf file to run Xubuntu but Unity still shows up. If I create a new user, it will start in Xubuntu just fine.
Can anyone point me in the right direction on 'how to have a chinese onboard keyboard' in Ubuntu 12.04? I have the language changed and am able to type chinese in libre writer but I am trying to get a MSW like onboard keyboard so I can see and build the caricatures/words(bopomofo).
My fiance has a MyTouch 3G Slide, and her keyboard has been acting funny. The keyboard seems to be malfunctioning when in use. It's not all keys, but certain keys, where if she types these specific keys, they will randomly type other random letters. She did drop it, so I'm guessing the dropping caught up and the keyboard developed this problem. Is there any way to fix this?
Hi,
I've installed Karmic on a HP G61 notebook. It has a numeric keypad type keyboard.
The keypad part works when you switch off "Pointer can be controlled using the keypad" in System ? Preferences > Keyboard (Mouse Keys tab) + switch ON numlock.
The keyboard layout for the QWERTY part of the keyboard is not 100% correct.
