http://ubuntuforums.org – Hey guys ok Recently i had a HIS ATi 5770, and i had a problem with wine gaming, i couldnt run any game at medium or high graphics, even at low, i got extremely lowfps frames on ubuntu 10.10 and 10.04, and this wasnt just in wine, it was in linux native games like Trine, id feel the choppy performance and glitching P.S i was using 32bit at the time that all this happened, i never got around to testing if 64bit would have made a difference Now, i asked in multiple forums, and the typical responses i got were "Hardware MissMatch" "Ubuntu doesnt like the newer ATi Cards" (Hardware)

Hey everybody. I have an Alienware M18x-R2 with a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 675M (optimus support doesn't appear to be enabled). I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 64bit, along with the latest nvidia 64 bit drivers (304.43).

I have Wine version 1.5 which should work with a game I want to play, The Sims 3.

I wanna wine a windows .exe program. first time i wine it ,i get an error message :"mfc42.dll cant be found" then i install it with winetricks i wine it again, this time i get

"fixme:toolhelp:CreateToolhelp32Snapshot Unimplemented: heap list snapshot"

I just dont know what it means , can anybody help ?

Hi everyone, i have a small problem with wine, i updated to wine wine-1.5.12-3, now by default wine command is not working, i get:wine -bash: /usr/local/bin/wine: No such file or directorySo i removed the old wine, and installed it again, but i still get the same ...

I think I found a fix, haven't tested thoroughly yet though ...

I'm very confused about the Build Service Wine repository.

There's a package called "wine" with the version "1.1.34-1.1-i586"

There's a package called "wine-32bit" with version "1.1.34-1.1-x86_64"

Aren't those inverted?

Attempting to install SC2 with Wine and PlayOnLinux, however no matter what attempt I make to install it on a virtual drive etc it comes up with a box saying "No installer data found, please contact Blizzard Customer Support"

When I tried to run winetricks, nothing happened. Tried to run winecfg in terminal, got a message "wine: virtual memory exhausted". Needless to say, I can't run any programs with Wine.
