[ubuntu] No wireless networks showing?

New install of Ubuntu 9.10 beta Acer Aspire nm-tool shows wireless disconnected.

I have install 64bit version of Fedora 12 on a new Dell Inspiron 1545 with a Dell 1397 wireless card. It actually uses a Broadcom BCM4312 chip.

I have install the following rpms:

I have a Ralink wireless USB device. Running driver 2870. Don't know how else to identify the device. It is from the C.Crane Super USB WiFi Antenna 3.

I am connected to a far away network with WPA Personal encryption using TKIP.

I am trying to connect to a different network which also uses WPA encryption. It happens to be closer. It doesn't work.

Hi so I just installed 10.10 for netbooks, and apparently it's using the RT2800PCI driver for my wireless NIC in my EeePC 901.

All of a sudden my machine's wireless network is not connecting to my WiFi router.How can I figure out if its an issue with the WLAN card or if its withing the Ubuntu system settings ?Is there a command to check if the wireless is working ?

Hy guys, i have a problem with this wireless card drivers.

I use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

Wireless worked pretty well (except known disconnects caused by rt2800pci driver) until ubuntu updated last week.

After that, wireless dissapeared from Network Manager. I ran lsmod and i saw rt2800pci was not loaded anymore.

the wireless network connection of my HP 650 notebook is very unstable.

Here's a mystery - a wireless card works with 11.0; with 11.2, it no longer works. Reverting to 11.0, and it works again. I don't know enough about the details of wireless to know how to fix the problem, assuming it can be fixed.
