I am unable to shutdown. Whenever I try to shutdown, it reboots. I am running Ubuntu 12.10.
I'm running Ubuntu 11.04 and it refuses to boot. I tried to use a boot repair disk, but no luck I'll paste the info from the boot repair below:
Boot Info Script 0.60 from 17 May 2011

the same hard drive for core.img.
My Wubi install no longer boots and seems to be missing. I cannot remove it or reinstall.
Here is the bootinfoscript results:

I installed grub2-bios into partition ,instead of MBR.I removed /boot/grub directory before the upgrade just in case# chattr -i /boot/grub/core.img
# rm -rf /boot/grub/
# pacman -Syu
# modprobe dm-modAfter grub2-bios and grub2-common have been upgraded , I ran# grub-install --directory=/usr/lib/grub/i386-pc --target=i386-pc --boot-directory=/boot --recheck --force --debug /dev/sda1
# chattr +i /bo
So, I installed the newest Ubuntu from live usb choosing the side by side option. Now I can only boot to ubuntu and can't access or even find anything related to windows.
I cannot boot into Linux or Windows now.
I did the boot repair but every time I turn my computer on it goes to Windows then into recovery mode and I went through that and it still brings me back.
I can only get in Ubuntu through the live disc.
This is my paste:

============================= Boot Info Summ
I have an old hard disk drive (the ribbon one) that I see using usb has a boot partition but don't see anything else.
So, I thought to try to boot up the the disk (which is running legacy grub) over usb from grub2 to check it out.
But, google has failed me.
I have two drives. Drive A has windows xp on it (only 1 partition) and the partition is encrypted with TrueCrypt. Drive B has a boot partition that has GRUB2 stuff on it and also an LVM partition that has Arch Linux in it.
