[ubuntu] no sound after upgrade to ubuntu 12.04

http://ubuntuforums.org – hey everyone, I recently upgraded to ubuntu 12.04 but just after updating grub i lost sound so i have tried theese 2 links : https://help.ubuntu.com/community/So...otingProcedure https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...LMI/edit?pli=1 without result Accordingly to second link i found that the /etc/asound.conf was empty then i paste this code ---- code ------- pcm.!default { type plug slave.pcm { type hw card 0 device 1 } } -------------------------------------------- where i have the crad and device numbres ( card 0 device 1 )from this comand : aplay-l but without result. (Hardware)

In the article, https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBook4-1/Lucid , it says that sound works out-of-the-box, but when I booted up from a upgrade from 9.10, I can't hear any sound. I've already looked at the alsa config file, but nothing seems wrong. Any suggestions?

I had working sound on my server, installed some security updates, now it doesn't work.
