Tonight in New York, Lenovo introduced two brand new tablet/laptop hybrids under the name of IdeaPad Yoga. Those two devices will be Windows 8 powered. Two screen sizes are available, 11″ and 13″.
Sorry for digging up, but does anyone knows the answer to this problem?I am experiencing the same with Slim:* When I'm using my default laptop monitor, Slim's resolution is the monitor's native but,* When I'm using my external monitor (through hdmi), Slim's resolution isn't the native. Thanks

Hi.
When Lenovo first announced the Yoga in October nobody knew what to think. A laptop that folks over to turn into a big tablet? With Windows 8? Meh.
Ubuntu 12.04 gnome.
I can't get the resolution higher than 1280-720.
The screen is 22" and has a resolution of 1920-1080.
Ubuntu thinks the screen is a laptop screen. a box pop up whit that.
the cabel is a blue vga.
The resolution has been 1920-1080 for the last year but something happend last week and i don't no what.
I have just done a fresh install of 12.10 on my laptop details are below and it is detecting the wrong graphics cards so now the fan is running very loud.
If any could help me I would be very thankful

hey guys,This is the first time I have installed arch on my HP dv6t. One of the problems with this laptop is that is has hybrid graphics which has always been to wonky for me so I prefer to just disable the ATI card altogether, and solely rely on the intel integrated graphics. Im just not sure about how to get this to work with Arch. I previously had ubuntu installed and used thi
Okay, I'm looking for a laptop. I would love to use system76, but unfortunately they are out of stock of their Serval Pro, and that is the only one that is up to par with what I need. I want something that is very high end, with at least a 2.8ghz processor and ddr3 memory, as well as a 1gb graphics card. Preferably at least 1600x900 resolution, if not full 1080p.
I connected an external monitor to my laptop earlier today. grandr only allowed "Clone" mode -- no "Extend" mode -- so I manually configured the layout using xrandr. I tried to undo everything when I disconnected the monitor, but I don't know if I got it right. I've restarted now and the resolution of the Slim screen is wrong.
