Im a new Linux convert and so far very impressed, I downloaded 13.1 and erased Windows. I am having trouble with wireless though. I read that Netgear WNA1000M has out of the box plug and play so I purchased and it worked immediately. However after several minutes of flawless connection it would stop transmitting however not disconnect.
I recently installed Lubuntu 12.04 on my old low end computer with no wireless. I had bought a Netgear WNA1000M USB Wireless adapter to get wireless as it has no wireless card and its location is far away from my routher. After 10 minutes however the wireless will disconnect and won't reconnect until i restart my computer. Is there a fix for this?
I have got a new USB wifi adapter of Netgear with Realtek Chipset. I am using UBuntu 12.04. I tried to install it according to the directions in Ubuntu forums. But I failed. Can anyone please help me out. I am a newbie in Ubuntu.
Below are some of the commands I ran.
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 18ec:3399 Arkmicro Technologies Inc.
I recently got a Netgear N150 wireless adapter for my Acer Veriton. The adapter worked right out of the box and the computer recognized immediately and I connected to my wifi within a minute. But the connection keeps cutting out. It shows that I am still connected to the wifi but I have to disconnect and reconnect again for it to work. This happens about once every minute.
This one drove me nuts for a day and a half so I'm posting my findings here in case they are useful to anyone else. The Netgear WNA1000M wifi USB adapter is based on the Realtek RTL8188C... [by ChrisOwens]
