http://ubuntuforums.org – I've bought a Asus EEEpc 1005 PX and trired to install Ubuntu netbook. But I found that wifi is not working. It's not detecting the wifi cards. I tried ifconfig, and it is showing me, ETH0 and L0 only. When I tried LSPCI it's showing me Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Atheros AR8132/L1c Gigabit ethernet adapter (rev c0) Network Controller: Atheros Communication inc. Device 002c (rev 01) I'm a newbie here. Please tell me how can i set up the wifi here. (I tried with Meego, and Meego detected the wireless autometically..But I want to use Ubuntu) (HowTos)

I am running 12.04 on an Asus EEEPC 1201n. Regularly, wifi connection is lost and there seems to be no way to get it back without a reboot. The same machine booted on WIN7 never fails.

I am at a loss, any ideas?

Just intalled Ubuntu 10.04 on Acer travelmate 5760 Wifi is working, but NOT ethernet/cable...

I have just bought myself a new Asus laptop, and when loading #! on to it it says It could not detect ethernet device but I have been unable to find a driver for AR813/5X for linux.

I'm been having problems keeping a steady connection with my Atheros Communications Inc. AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter. It will drops down to 1mb/s and then randomly will go back up to 150mb/s

I had stumbled upon the fix once before but I just cant seem to find it this time.

Wifi and ethernet works OOB, but the last one is really slow (less than 10 mbit).

We are finding it difficult to make the wireless work in my friend's laptop. It is a Dell Inspiron. Running on Ubuntu 12.04 with 3.2.0-30-generic kernel.

Hi, yesterday i installed ubuntu 10.10 desktop edition on my HP DM4-1006TU laptop everything working fine except the wifi.

i'm able to switch off/on my wifi as LED goes red and white but no network found under wireless network.

where as on windows 7 wifi working smoothly.

please help
