[ubuntu netbook remix] Battery issue

http://ubuntuforums.org – I've been having a battery issue of sorts, and this seemed like the best place to ask for help. About 2 months ago, I bought a 12000 mAh high capacity battery for my EeePC from an Amazon vendor. At first it seemed like it was having issues with shutting off with a good charge left (like 40%), but then the problem seemed to go away. Then a couple of weeks ago, the computer died (well, XP imploded) and Ubuntu was installed. Now, the battery meter lists the capacity of the battery at 7.3% what it is supposed to be, and the battery life is, if anything, slightly less than the stock 4400 mAh battery. Is there someway I can get Ubuntu to charge it differently, or is it a battery problem? (Hardware)

Dear all, i'm experiencing my laptop battery's lifespan is degraded. (my laptop is IBM T60) i just changed OS from WinXP to Ubuntu 9.10 a couple of weeks ago.

Since then my laptop can sustain only less than 30 mins (from approx. 2 hrs with WinXP)

I've been using several custom roms on my Defy green lense and i noticed an issue with the battery life.

It happens that every time i fully charge the phone, when it goes to 70% battery life it instantly drop to 50%, battery drain, even with STOCK Froyo.

But if i charge it to 69%, not fully 100% or over 70%, it goes normal...

Is the battery bricked ?

Im running Mobster 2.5 and up until about a week ago I was enjoying excellent battery life. With an extended battery and light use, I could get close to 3 days from one charge. However, recently the battery is dieing very quickly and I can charge the battery to 100%, take it off charge to place at the side of the bed, and in the morning the phones completely flat.

Hello everyone. I have had what I consider good battery life foe the duration of my SGN. I have had the extended battery for about 6 months and been through several ROMs over that time span.

So I'm having the issue where the battery isn't charging. Left it to charge for a couple of hours. Came back, still no charge.

Currently the phone is $130 something on Boost's website- it's black friday, I wanted to buy my mother a new phone. Her birthday is coming up, and what better way to have her leave her crappy basic phone ?

Now I do have on primary concern, battery life. With a ROM installed. Is battery life ever an issue ?

so... i just bought it a couple days ago... i took it out of the box and there was charge already, which was nice... did the initial set-up, then commenced to tweak settings...

once getting to the battery section... it is shown as having a 49% charge... the time remaining was 22min and some seconds...

then, after charging it to 100%... the time left is now around 47 minutes...

OK so i installed almost every ROM on there and here is what i found.

TOP.

:good: CleanGB ---- Takes the crown, super fast battery charge in less then 45minutes the battery is full. Over a period of 8 hours in stand by(as i sleep) the battery did not drop at all.

:confused: CM9 ---- Took over 2.5 hours to charge the battery, in 8 hours it dropped 12% battery life.

I installed AOKP 4.2.2 JB ROM (build 6) on an HTC One XL (evita) ever since then, the battery is draining big time, overnight (when not on charge), im losing around 40-50% of the battery. I have disabled most of the synching (although this was never an issue with a stock sense (4+) + jellybean 4.1 ROM, and its not really made any difference I have installed better battery stats, but ne
