I am having only one problem with the AspireOne D150 Netbook, using Jaunty 9.04 and the netbook remix. At seemingly random times, the external video will just black out. Re-seating the cable does nothing. Restarting X will not kick it back on. The built-in lcd does work though.
Rebooting seems to be the only thing that works at this point.

I just bought my new netbook Acer Aspire One 722. It works fine on Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit version. Everything works good beyond microphone (external and internal). Internal works middling because it's very silent (despite the fact that in alsamixer is set to maximum, You can do something about it ?) and external doesn't work at all. When I connect external mic simply nothing happens.
I have an Acer Aspire One D150 with Ubuntu 9.04 on it (not the Netbook remix, just the original) and the audio capture is driving me MMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDD:mad:!!!!! The normal output audio works like a charm but any sort of audio capturing fails in both the internal mic and external mic!
I've installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my Toshiba Tecra A8 laptop. It has Intel 945GM graphics.
All my hardware components work fine except for the external monitor. When I plug in the monitor cable to the external VGA port, Ubuntu detects it, but the screen goes black and I don't get anything displayed – both on the LCD and the external monitor.
How can I solve this?
How do I change the display screen to an external monitor?
I have an IBM ThinkPad X4 UltraBase laptop. It's elderly, but useful, works fine.
It has a video port on the back. The BIOS Video settings are: Internal / PCI. I have changed them to no apparent effect.
