[ubuntu] Need installation help

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have an extra laptop that didn't have a legit copy of windows 7 on it so I thought I'd give Ubuntu a try on that. So I got it all installed using the Windows Installer that they provide, and after it was installed I used the OS-uninstaller tool to delete windows 7 all together. But the one thing I forgot to do was to change/edit/fix the boot thing to where it will boot to Ubuntu automatically. and now it wouldn't boot properly, saying that "Bootmgr" doesn't exist or something along those lines. I then got the LinuxLive USB Creator in attempt to make a "Boot disk" out of (Hardware)
