I am very new to linux, I have a dual boot system running ubuntu 12.04 and windows 7 on a Dell Latitude E6320. I have no problem connecting to the internet on windows 7. Also I have no problem with the wireless connection at university.
I just setup a new wireless network, and I'm unable to connect when running ubuntu (no issues when using windows 7, or connecting to other public wireless networks with ubuntu). I also have no problem connecting directly to the modem by ethernet cable.
I just received a donation of computers running ubuntu 14.04 LTS. The computers have no cd drive, just usb drives. I plugged in a Linksys - Dual-Band Wireless-N USB 2.0 Adapter and nothing happens. I went to the Linksys website to see if there is a driver I can download.
Please send me a link for a driver that I can download to make these wireless adapters work.
I've been trying to set up my new PC to access my wireless network using a Linksys AE1200 Wireless USB Adapter. Unfortunately, Cisco don't appear to provide drivers for the device for Ubuntu, so I followed the advice in this thread to get the device set up.
Thanks to the comprehensive explanations given in that thread, I'm now connected to my network.
I'm experiencing a problem with my wireless card on Ubuntu 12.04LTS amd64.
I can't make any connection, and when I try: type password, hit connect, it seems to be on an infinite loop and after some minutes it asks again for the password and goes on and on, not connecting in the end.
I've tested with another wireless card: DWL-G510, it's pretty old and works fine.
I'm having trouble connecting to a wireless network! Have spent the last couple of weeks using the resources here to get ndiswrapper working and to get the wireless recognised. Now I've stumbled onto a less well-covered problem, and was hoping someone may be able to help.
