hello,
i followed this thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1288865 and successfully installed 'dkms' and 'bcmwl-kernel-source' via usb, in hope that Broadcom will be detected.
Hardware: BCM 4312 802.11b/g
Broadcom and I have pci_14e4:4315
U all know where I might be able to download the appropriate driver and there so I can try to install it with NDIS? Just trouble shooting my wireless.
Hi all!
I'm brandy new to Ubuntu, so I really have no clue what I'm doing.
Hey everyone,
I just downloaded Ubuntu and installed fine, installed Ndiswrapper for my 050d:6050 device, aaaand it doesn't work. It's not obvious either when I type Ndiswrapper -l because it says, as you can guess from the title....
Code:
bcmwlhigh6 : driver installed
Device (050d:6050) present
So if someone could help me out with that, that would be great, Thanks.
Hello. I've read a lot about wireless network cards but I haven't found something similiar to my problem. I've a belkin wireless card F5D7000tt and its driver bcmwl5.inf. I think I've correctly installed it because when I use "ndiswrapper -l" i get:
WARNING: all config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/ndiswrapper, it will be ignored in a future realease.
Ok, so this is my (anoying) problem
It's imposible to activate any Hardware Drivers (proprietary)
I just installed ubuntu, so i don't see why this would happen.
I haved installed ubuntu and activated drivers before.
But this time, just as soon as i click the ''activate'' button, it hangs in there, for ever, and for ever, for ever...
Hi,just installed ubuntu 9.10....however something's wrong.... it seems unable to activate my wireless driver (which is non-open source)Broadcom ST3.....when i go to "Hardware Drivers" and click on activate Broadcom ST3, ubuntu simply asks for a password and then does nothing! pls help!
thanks in advance
Linux newbie here, anyway so here is the problem, I run Ubuntu 10.10 and I have a Sitecom 300N x2 Wireless Network dongle with chipset 8192SU, I used ndiswrapper to install my Windows Wireless driver because Sitecom doesn't have a linux driver, it says hardware present but it doesn't find any Wireless networks, nor does it connect to one.
Hi
I have installed karmic on my inspiron E1505. Everything is working fine except the wireless connectivity.
