As my hard drive crashed in my touchsmart 610 - I reinstalled my system on a linux external HDD - but since then when I plug in my PS3 via HDMI to the touchsmart I have no sound. The image from the PS3 is however working in HD perfectly fine
As I have tried mutliple things already I am starting to be annoyed by this.
I've recently installed Ubuntu 12.10, and I've found that although the microphone is working, I have to put it really near my mouth in order to get proper sound.
Hi, I am new to ubuntu and linux. I have just installed ubuntu 11.04 on my lap top (a Itautec infoway n8610 ss) and it works perfectly... except for the sound. I can´t get any sound from my pc, it worked well with my windows vista but it is not working now. I tried to find the driver for the on-board soundcard to, maybe, replace it, but I can't even find it.
I installed 11.10 ubuntu on clean install (I had 10.04 earlier but I wanted the newer version) last night and updated it. But now my ubuntu has no sound. I tried to go to sound settings to check sound output devices, but there is not any devices.
For my computer, I am running Ubuntu 11.10 along side with Windows Vista. Ubuntu is 64-bit version.
Hello, I just installed ubuntu 9.10 last night, and I am trying to get sound to work, but it isn't working :(.
Hi Guys,
I am running the latest version Ubuntu and I have installed a new sound card. Its a Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio. After the install I rebooted and everything worked perfectly.
I installed KDE over the holiday weekend, and sound was working perfectly across the board.
At some point between Sunday and today, sound stopped working with KDE. (with the odd exception of MP3's in amarok)
All non-KDE apps have perfectly working sound.
It doesn't appear to be kernel or Pulse Audio Related.
I have just recently installed Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit on my HP Pavilion dv7 laptop. The installation worked smoothly and everything seems to be in place. There is just on issue, my audio driver, IDT, was not installed and whenever I try to listen to music through headphones, the audio comes through both the headphones and speakers.
Hello all.
I've been living happily with my Ubuntu 12.04 and Windows 7 side by side.
Some days ago I invested in a Line 6 UX1 external soundcard, and set it up in Windows.
