Hi all,

So after reading the various stickies I thought it would probably be a good idea to set up a firewall...

Currently I have enabled the firewall using ufw and allowed the various ports that I can work out need to be open... The browser works fine and I can access hotmail in the browser but I can't get evolution to talk to hotmail (works fine with firewall disabled).

I just installed 12.04 64bit on my lappy (before i was using mint 11). I have this issue with my docking station - when I boot my computer docked everything is ok but when I boot undocked and than dock my lappy the usb ports in docking station dont work.

On accessing a particular web page on the Delcamp.com forum, the Youtube videos embedded in the posts disappear and dmesg records the following error;

This only started happening a few days ago.

I have just installed Ubuntu 9.10 on a new Asus M4A79XTD EVO motherboard. All other hardware seems to be running fine, all my internal drives are recognized (though these are on the AMD SB750). I have had difficulties with eSATA and ubuntu in the past with other motherboards. When diagnosing problems I use dmesg.

I'm tring to configure wi-fi on an ARM board and have done this by installing the hostapd package. Now to enable DHCP for this interface, I am trying to install a DHCP server on an ARM platform - ( PANDA Board 2 : ES Rev B1 Model number : 750-2170-002 RevB ). The OS version of Ubuntu installed is 11.10.

I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 on my desktop and everything was working fine until recently and suddenly all of my USB ports have stopped working. I can't use external hard drives or my printer.

Hi, During OS installation of FreeBSD7.4/i386 I missed to include ports collection. Now when I try with sysinstall command via ftp servers avaliable in tha list it says "unable to open ftp connection. Error:0" Could You Please suggest me the exact site wher I can get ports collection via FTP to those servers.. Please Help!!!
