Hello :)
I can't seem to get my apt-get command to work at the moment..
When I'm asked to run "apt-get -f install" to fix some unmet dependencies (or whatever it does - I just follow instructions :)), I am met with the following error message:
Code:
Me@MyComputer:~$ sudo apt-get -f install
Reading package lists...
I was trying to install mySQL and i ran a few commands that maybe i shouldn;t have.

541 rm -rf *mysql
542 rm -rf *.mysql
543 rm -rf *mySQL
544 rm -rf *.mySQL

I can't install additional software in my Ubuntu (11.10). It says "Items cannot be installed or removed until the package catalog is repaired. Do you want to repair it now?" I click "Repair", but it fails every time.
I read in some forums that I may need to run
Code:
sudo apt-get install -f
but the output it gives is
Code:
Reading package lists...
Hi,
I'm a bit new to openSUSE and I'm more comfortable with Ubuntu's package management. That said, I'm having trouble removing an RPM. I'm trying to remove uShare and it's being stubborn.
Code:
zypper rm ushare
