My laptop keyboard and trackpad aren't working on my Dell XPS 15z.
I do have a USB mouse and that works, but, whenever I click on something, it opens about 20 windows of that. Or, if I click something on Google, it'll keep going to it about 20 times.
I'm not sure where to put this, or to say whether this is a problem and a bug. Basically I installed Ubuntu 13.04 in Asus 1225B. If I just let it load after selecting it at Grub, the keyboard and mousepad won't respond at the logging screen, even after logging when I'm using external mouse (and onboard screen keyboard).

Any idea how to get it work?
I have installed Ubuntu 12.04.1 on my new Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 M772DGE. Unfortunately the right mouse button of the touchpad is not working correctly. Every mouse button click is interpreted as a left mouse button click. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the synaptics (xserver-xorg-input-synaptics) drivers, but the problem is still present.
What else can I do? Any other suggestions?

I installed 12.04 using WUBI on a working W7 64bit system.
both KB and mouse work perfect during the BIOS boot, and on the bootmgr, I can select Windows 7 or Ubuntu to load.
Once I select Ubuntu, the KB and mouse seem to loose their power (light on the mouse and Numlock leds go off)
After couple of seconds, the screen gets blurry.
I had Ubuntu 12.04 with XFCE (Lubuntu) installed on my Acer netbook for a while until one day the left track pad button stopped working. For unrelated reasons, I wiped it clean and installed regular old Ubuntu 12.04 and attached a USB mouse (that I know to work). To my surprise, I still wasn't able to left-click. I also enabled touch click on the trackpad, but this didn't help either.
I just recently decided to install the most recent Ubuntu version on my Dell XPS 15z running Windows 7 (in hopes of using it to code).
However, after installing, I realized that neither my keyboard nor my mouse worked with Ubuntu. I couldn't move or type. It works with an outside keyboard and mouse, just not my laptops trackpad and keyboard. How do I fix this?
