http://ubuntuforums.org – Im relatively new to the whole linux thing but am so satisfied with my linux hardy, all the apops and stuff are great! unfortunately it is not windows and all the keyboard shortcuts dont work I need my mouse back! I have a micro innovations laser mouse (serial plugin) its worked for the last year Ive had the comp why did it die now? what general driver was installed with the ubuntu that I could mabey go get... im half savvy if it comes down to needing to paste in a few lines of something some where thanks sid (Hardware)

I just installed 12.04 on an Alienware m14x, I use a Cyborg MMO7 mouse. When the mouse is plugged in I can click on the launcher bar stuff on the left but once a window is open I can't do anything with it. I cant close it or move to other windows without alt tab.

I have tried editing the xorg file thing, but it didn't work.

Hi, I just installed ubuntu 11.10 alongside with windows 7, I have the both operativesystems on two different partitions. But when I start up ubuntu my ordinary mouse and keyboard doesnt work, it's a razer naga mouse and a Microsoft sidewinder keyboard. If I unplug those and plugin an old mouse and keyboard I can log in to then unplug those and use my primary instead.

UNR on acer aspire one work fine for me but there is this weird problem about my mouse. An old mouse i had worked perfectly find but a brand new mouse i bought had this strange problem.

I installed Fedora 17 on my laptop, where I use a keyboard (Logitech K120) and mouse (generic USB mouse) connected to a hub.

Then I noticed that neither the keyboard nor the mouse worked.

I have a Dell Studio 1715 laptop, which comes with bluetooth, webcam, fingerprint reader, everything. I enjoyed ubuntu a lot in this laptop.... until I met this problem.

I bought a bluetooth laser mouse, which didn't work for me before. Can't remember the brand... now it happens all over again with a brand new mouse, so it can't be the mouse itself.

I installed Ubuntu 10.4 amd 64 today but the drivers for the mouse are terrible, the cursor moves so slow it's not usable. I've tried setting the speed of the mouse to top speeds but it didn't help at all. Any suggestions as to what I can do? Linux Newbe here. Thanks.

I have a Logitech K800 keyboard and a Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX paired in Windows to a single Unifying receiver. They work great in both Windows and Mac. The mouse and keyboard work for some amount of time, usually 1-30 minutes, before dropping. If I press the volume or calculator buttons on the keyboard, both the mouse and keyboard drop.

I have got a lot of roubles according to the Logitech MX3200 Cordless Desktop Laser combo keyboard and mouse set.

I just want my keyboard and mouse to work with the standard buttons.

I am a Ubuntu new user. After upgrade ubuntu 12.04 to f17 (i think, i dont realley know much about the kernel) my bt mouse connect, but dont move. I tried using another dongle, reinstalling ubuntu, drivers, connect the mouse to another computer, even install blueman, but nothing works. I have dual boot with Windows, and the mouse works fine in that system. Anyone knows whats happening?
