I have an Android phone which I use as a music player, and I use Banshee to manage the music on my computer. I can copy music fairly easily from Banshee to the phone, I can even copy the music (MP3s) contained in a playlist.
What I would like to do is copy the playlist itself, but that is apparently not so straightforward.
Banshee 1.5.3, aka 1.6 beta 4, was released with several new features and many fixes, including device sync-from-playlist, type-ahead find, library watching, and more!

Hi everyone,
I've searched everywhere to see if others had the same problem (both forums and general internet search). No luck.
I can run Banshee fine, import an iTunes music library, and play music. But when I plug in my iPod (Nano G5), instead of detecting the iPod, Banshee freezes. Now Ubuntu itself detects the iPod just fine.
I'm having a bit of an annoying problem with Banshee. I have a library that's not so big, only 300-400 songs. However, I'm the problem arises when I play songs. When I double click to play a song, it plays normally, as expected. But during a playlist or my whole library, or even a playlist with a single song being played, something funny happens: It starts the next track f.ex.
Sorry to bump this again, but I've been testing out all of the media players mentioned and there are still two features locking me to either Banshee or Rhythmbox: drag and drop into and out of static playlists, and having static playlists themselves (when i double click a song it plays and the media player continues to play only songs from that playlist, excluding the queue).
Banshee has an option - sort playlist by track number, it on do nothing. Is at a bug or I miss something?

I have banshee 2.2.1 with Ubuntu 11.10
I have been trying to update banshee to 2.4 (released yesterday) but it just isnt working, I have been using
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:banshee-team/ppa
in terminal, from the Banshee.fm website.
Hi,
I seem to be having trouble syncing playlists made in Rhythmbox onto my ipod. I can sync music fine but can find no way to do the playlist. Dragging & dropping doesn't work. If I right click on the ipod in the device section & go to properties, then the sync tab, under sync preferences it only offers me music & podcast options. Surely there must be a way around this?
Banshee is a media management and playback application for the GNOME desktop, allowing users to import audio from CDs, search their library, create playlists of selections of their library, sync music to/from iPods and other media devices, play and manage video files and burn selections to a CD.
