So, I recently purchased a new System76 Lemur Ultra Thin (lemu4) notebook PC and I am hoping that it will last me for the next four years until April 2016. That's a long time from today and anything can happen, but I am pretty confident that it won't die or crap out on me by that time.
I am planning to buy the Lemur Ultra.
I have the option of buying extra RAM, a faster processor, a better wireless radio, and an SSD instead of HD.
Of these options, I was thinking of opting for:
8GB of RAM
The baseline processor
The baseline wireless radio
The 128GB Crucial M4 SSD
My reasoning is:
* 4GB of RAM is not enough for the future
* The baseline processor is more than enough for a codi
Hi,
I'm disappointed with the range of volume in my new Lemur Ultra. I have it set at the highest setting, but still wasn't enough while watching a DVD. What is the best option for increasing the volume? Thanks!
Cuckoo is a simple alarm application that is designed specifically for Ubuntu.
Cuckoo allows users to open and save alarm lists for easy alarm management. Cuckoo also allows you to hide the window from your Unity launcher to stay out of your way while you work.
Cuckoo supports the Ubuntu Unity Launcher, HUD, and Indicator interfaces which allows for you to control Cuckoo faster.
Because the Hibernate key is between the Mute key and the Volume Down key on my Lemur Ultra, it's easy to accidentally hit it when changing the volume. Is there any way to disable it?
I never use Hibernate anyway, it's either Suspend or Power Off.
I'm just getting set up on a new lemur ultra. It seems to me that the colors on the display are washed out. I've looked at all the display intensity levels, but the washed-out effect is present at all light levels.
I've had my Lemur Ultra for a few weeks now, and I wanted to share my first impressions, and a couple of issues I have with it.
I have an unboxing video (with a twist) here: https://vimeo.com/46599898
I also have a couple of blog posts about my first impressions: http://petty.me.uk/?p=2801

Overall I'm happy, but there are a couple of issues which are annoying m
I got a System76 Lemur Ultra Thin (lemu4) with Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit and I added and I installed the Ubuntu Tweak 0.8.2 app.
I have a System76 Lemur Ultra Thin (lemu4) with Ubuntu 12.04.1 64 bit Long Term Service as my default and primary operating system of choice.
