I have the following situation:
Client subnet(192.168.0.0 /24)---->Router---->Internet---->ASA(172.17.0.2 /24)---->(172.17.0.1 /24)Gateway---->(10.0.0.0 /8)Many subnets
I need to logically connect the client subnet to the "many subnets".
On the left side I have a Cisco 2901 and on the other an ASA.
I built an IPsec connection between the router and the ASA.
The IPsec connection itself works bu
Hello,
Just made a clean install of Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit server to use as a router/firewall and misc. services.
So far it is pretty basic and up and running. But I am completely stuck on what I thought was a trivial problem, but I've been unable to solve it.
For some reason I can't get IPSec passthrough to work with iptables.
Here's my setup: I have a laptop that I roam around everywhere with, and I have a desktop computer at home that is connected to the web using a router with NAT.
My objective here is to create an SSH server which I can use for the purpose of file storage/access as well as using it as a proxy server.
I'm following this guide to create an IPsec VPN on a debian server. I followed all the steps, and it still isn't working. If I try connecting to it, I get an error. I've looked for the logs, but I'm not sure where they would be put, other than /var/logs. I aim to be able to browse the internet from my home connection, and access my home network as if it is my local network (eg.
I use dd-wrt as my home router setup and that's been working fine. Now I wanted to figure out a way to be able to use my iPad to set up a IPSec tunnel to my home network while I'm on the road.
PPTP is pretty much insecure at this point so I want to use something IPSec based. Based on what I can find, dd-wrt does not support IPSec.
Router/Firewall/Endpoint: Zywall USG20W
Method: SSL VPN (IPSEC VPN only if not other choice)
Laptop: Windows 7 x86
Auth Server: 2008 R2 AD
I have biz class internet and a bank of static IP's at my home office. I run the Zywall behind a comcast gateway and can do simple 1to1 NAT. Im trying to figure out the best software for my laptop to connect home with.
Hello,
This question is prompted by another question here. Now I use teamviewer to connect to a Ubuntu desktop in a customer's LAN from my LAN.
For the record, I can connect to the router just fine using netcfg, and every site works great--with the exception of Youtube. Every time I get on that site and watch a video, my router fails (I know it's the router that fails and not just my connection to it because the internet goes out for my roomates too).
