i installed newest ubuntu relaese yesteday and everything was fine till today. when i turned it on there was this message:
the system is running in low-graphics mode. your screen, graphic card and input device settings could not be detected correctly.

I own a Acer Aspire 5552 laptop, which has Ubuntu on it. And now i updated it to 12.04 LTS from 11.10. When i turn the laptop on, it says : Your system is running in low-graphics mode, Your screen, graphics card, and input device settings could not be detected correctly.
The details are that I used Universal USB Installer version 1.9.1.8 from http://www.pendrivelinux.com to install Ubuntu 12.10 onto a 4GB pendrive as per instruction on Ubuntu's website. However, after I boot with drive I am met with the following message:

An older computer in our house has been running Lubuntu for a while now, on an Intel Pentium 4 processor with 512MB of RAM. I's my father's computer that I setup and maintain for him but recently I've hit a snag.

I have installed 12.8 (new) Ati Amd driver for my Mobility Radeon HD 7550.
After installing I configured xorg.conf using "aticonfig --initial" and restarted the laptop.
I got the screen saying the system is running in low graphics mode. graphics drivers etc could not be determined. And gives me 4 options: 1. Run in low graphics mode for just one session 2. Recofigure graphics 3.
As I try to stat up my Ubuntu lenovo dual boot with windows 7 ultimate...and after upgrading from 12.04 to 12.10
I get the following statement
System running in low graphics mode, your screen, graphics card, input devices settings could not be detected correctly, you will need to configure these yourself....
My graphic cards runs on windows and it ran properly before my upgrade...
How can I resol
I have a PPC G4 tower with XCLAIM VR RAGE 128 PRO PCI DVI MAC, Microsoft mouse and a Crywolf Coolmac silicone keyboard.
I was able to live boot from the CD. Turned the computer on and it live booted. I got an error message saying it was running in low graphics mode because it could not recognize the graphics card or the other input devices.
I just installed Ubuntu 12.10 in my HP Pavilion d6 having Nvidia GeForce GT 630M. Now I'm not able to boot into Ubuntu. I get a error saying that the system is running in low-graphics mode. In the next step when it asks me chose what to do i chose "Run in low-graphics mode for just one session and the screen goes blank. This is happening in Ubuntu 12.10 not 12.04.
