Trying to connect a Logitech gamepad to TrimSlice running Ubuntu 11.10.
Whenever I plug it in a new device shows up "/dev/input/event2"
If I open the file, it does get data from the gamepad.
But I'm not seeing the standad "/dev/input/js0" file.
"jscal -c /dev/input/event2" returns
error getting version: Invalid agrument.
what am i doing wrong?

Hi
I connected my Ps3 gamepad to my computer (OS Ubuntu) via USB. I used libjsw to make a small program to read the input buttons from /dev/input/js0, also for reading correctly the values of the accelerometers I had to run a background driver (QtSixA, that also allows to connect via bluetooth). I want to know all the information that is sent by the gamepad:
Hi, I was trying to use an emulator, Kega Fusion, that requires the gamepad/joystick device to be js0, instead of relying on the event devices like everything else does, and it's not detecting my gamepad. I looked under /dev to find the js0 file, and didn't find it, but everything that relies on SDL works great with the gamepad. Is the /dev/input/js0 file deprecated now?

I have AOSP 4.0 roms on both my Rezound and Thunderbolt. Yet it will not recognize my NES USB or logitech gamepad. Annoying enough, plug them into my cheap coby tablet and it instantly works. Rezound is using Rage Linaro and Thunderbolt is using Liquid ICS. Anyone?
The icontrollpad 1 guy (a gamepad which can be clipped at your phone), made an icontrollpad 2.
It is an android (and ios) gamepad, you can clip it to your phone / tablet and it does not need app support. There is an overlay software. When you press button x on the gamepad the software press at position x at the touchscreen.
