I have a problem logging back in to an X session. Only the very first (after bootup) login screen is diplayed. When I log in and later loggout the X login screen never comes back on. The screen stays blank/black.
Technicaly I can "blindly" login to an X session again because the machine normaly runs, but I cannot see the X login screen.
After upgrading to 13.10 the screen rotation with the acelerometer finally started to work on my Wetab. The only problem is that the screen orientation on the login screen and after the login is wrong. The screen is turned to right but the touchscreen isn't. I have to turn my Wetab to the right and back to normal again to get the correct screen orientation and a working touchscreen.
I have written an article about how to customize the Ubuntu login screen. After you edit the login screen, you may want to share your work on blogs and forums. However, you simply cannot just press the print-screen button to take screenshot of the login screen in Ubuntu. To do so, you can use a workaround command to preview the login screen and take screenshot of it.
I recently install the latest version of Ubuntu and it went perfect. Since that is stuck in login screen and I can't even type anything from keyboard and use my mouse to do something. Then after 5 mins. it does black like its in idea mode and stay as same condition for while. I have to turn it off manually and on to get to my home screen or login screen.
I am new to linux. Right now I am having trouble with login. I am using the ubuntu 10.04 lts on my Lenovo E420 with dual boot. Yesterday I deleted pulse audio files as my volume control was not responding. But when I restarted after that the login GUI screen keeps reappearing after entering the password.
