I am running GNOME (Fedora 10) and I have a Linksys Wireless-G Notebook Adapter Model No: WPC54G ver 3 card and it is not recognized by the computer. When I place it into the slot the network card will have a green light next to power, but the hardware browser will not see it.
Hi I just deleted my windows XP and installed Ubuntu 9.10 earlier this morning. I used wired connection to get drivers for my wireless network card.
When I did lspci, the very last line states:
Network Controller: Broadcom Coporation BCM4311 902.11b/g WLAN(rev 01)
i followed the info on a forum to get my netgear n300 wireless usb adapter to work and i installed the broadcom driver for it and it works fine until i rebot my system. everytime i turn my computer back on it wont recognize my wireless card and i have to go into ndisgtk to install it again. not a big issue but it is annoying to have to reinstall the driver. if anyone can help that would be great.
I recently Downloaded Ubunu from the main website with the hopes of dual booting it with windows. While the operating system works , it says that i need to install a driver for my graphics card. When I type in my password the installation fails. I figure it is because i need internet access.
I have Slackware(x32) 13.1 installed on my computer. Everything runs just fine except it doesn't seem my wireless card.
I looked around and found a driver on the Realtek website. But, after I installed it, linux wouldn't boot. It would just hang.
hp dc5000mt windows xp and ubuntu9.10 I am trying to get a linksys WMP11 pci card, version 2.7 to work on both os. works on xp. in ubuntu, with ndiswrapper installed in the proper .inf files, hardware recognized, i cannot enable wireless. the box to do this will not become active no matter what i do. the terminal shows the wireless card present but disabled. any thoughts??
