[ubuntu] Lenovo S12 Screen Problem !

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi, I have installed ubuntu netbook remix on my laptop, however, the screen get distorted in the beginning and the end of the installation as well as the time that I am using it. My netbook is a Lenovo S12 having a high resolution (1280x800) windows installed on it before the installation of ubuntu. The problem persists even when I use ubuntu LIVE. It was not resolved after changing the resolution nor the refresh rate. I am using the monitor output of the netbook since the screen of the netbook is not visible at all. Hi again, I recently bought an ASUS 1005HAB Netbook, and installed UNR on it. The problem is, whenever I try to use Cheese (also on windows, apps like msn, skype do not work) I get either a blank screen or ummm (See attached webcam pic)

Can anyone help me?

I just did a new install of Jaunty using "alt. x64 desktop" disk as RAID 1. All went fine and works great, except it boots in degraded mode. I used this https://help.ubuntu.com/9.04/serverg...tallation.html and followed to the letter.

ever since F11, my old Dell Latitude C610 graphics/video is corrupted and garbled. see attached photos. F12 is the same. it worked fine in F10 and earlier.

the video card is "VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M6 LY"

Just after I installed Karmic on my Zepto, the sound card showed up fine in the hardware tab of sound preferences.

But after a reboot, it wasn't there any more.

I can get sound working in boxee, via spdif some times. It seems really random if it works or not, when I reboot.

I have tried following some guides from archived threads, but to no avail.

i have ubuntu 9.10 and my network speed drops and then goes back up again.

this is not my internet connection as i have the same problem on over 3 different internet isps

i have also tried different download sources this even happends on my lan

what can i do to fix this ??
