Before writing a solution I'll describe the problem a bit and solutions I've tried.
Couple month ago I've decided to change my laptop from Dell Latitude E6420 to Lenovo T430s as during the last half of the year Dell was always freezing and it was very difficult to work with it.
Hi, seems like a common issue accross the board with no real resolution, I have a Lenovo L430 which I purchased recently, I installed 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04 with kernal 3.2.0.30-generic, with unity desktop and im getting system freezes a few times a day, I have to do a hard reset (hold power button down) to reset my machine, the mouse pointer freezes and the laptop is completely unresponsive.
The Lenovo IdeaPhone K900 boasts a dual core Intel Atom processor and will run on Android Jelly Bean operating system.
I am always confused whether to use Ubuntu/Win. This time as my HDD had some factory problems, Lenovo replace it for free. So, I have a fresh new HDD on which I would like to use Ubuntu (I did have some hands-on experience on Ubuntu for 1 yr).
But I am worried whether the special features of lenovo would work in it as I didn't get drivers for Linux when I brought my laptop.
Hi all,
My laptop at work was recently upgraded from a Lenovo T61 to a Lenovo T510. I installed Ubuntu 11.10 on it yesterday but I am having some driver issues with the video. Under System Info > Graphics the driver says Unknown. I have the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 5700MHD in my laptop. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there somewhere I can download the correct driver from?
Lenovo's new IdeaPhone K900 with dual-core Intel Atom processor ranks high in the mobile processor benchmark listing.
Hi,
for 4 weeks now, I have been running Ubuntu 12.04 on a brand new Lenovo Thinkpad T530. For the first three days, I had the 64bit Version of 12.04 installed, which froze randomly every 10hours or so. I updated the Kernel, which fixed the problem, but lead to driver problems.
Hello,
I've got quite some problem getting ubuntu to work under Lenovo L520.
First ubuntu installation was Ubuntu 11.10.
I recently bought a netbook Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E130 (Video card Intel HD Graphics, CPU Intel Pentium B997 ULV) on which I installed Ubuntu 12.10 64 bits.
A systematic bug makes it annoying to use the laptop.
Regulary, a pop-up shows up, says that the system is bugging. Then, another one, which says:
Apport has detected a possible GPU hang.
