I've tried color calibrating my monitor with the X-Rite I1, which is supported by Gnome Color. I've now attempted it three times on the different settings: Quick, Normal, and Precise. After each one, it created (seemingly) the same profile which muted the colors, and green shifted everything.
I'm not sure if it effects anything, but I am using dual monitors.

I have a pretty new system76 lemur ultra running ubuntu 12.10. I've noticed a VERY annoying bug with the lemur ultra's play/pause key and unity.
So, I recently purchased a new System76 Lemur Ultra Thin (lemu4) notebook PC and I am hoping that it will last me for the next four years until April 2016. That's a long time from today and anything can happen, but I am pretty confident that it won't die or crap out on me by that time.
After using a Pantone Huey to color calibrate my HP 2159m 21" LCD monitor on Fedora 17, the resulting display looks overly redish or pinkish.
Without color calibration, everything looks great, but I'm using the Huey to try to match up what I see on the monitor with what will appear on paper if my photos are printed.

I have a Samsung NP530U4B Notebook that comes pre-installed with Windows 7 OS. I have been an Ubuntu user for long now so I naturally installed 12.04 on it.
But much to my dismay, the colors are too bright. I install voria samsung tools which got all my fn hot keys working.
Samsung has started advertising two new colors for their monster smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Note II, in the South Korean market. Samsung seems to be fond of producing different color choices for their devices as the life cycle progresses.
I'm trying to get watch to display colors from 'git status'.
I've tried running watch with the --color option, as suggested elsewhere here, but, still, watch --color 'git status' doesn't display colors.
