I have a panel-pc with a touch-screen and are using ubuntu 12.04 LTS. When the screen is locked and then touched the lock-screen is shown but the onboard osk is not rendered yet. This takes a second or so.
How do I make the rendering of the osk faster?
Or even better: how can I make the onboard osk already active on the lock-screen?
Can anyone point me in the right direction on 'how to have a chinese onboard keyboard' in Ubuntu 12.04? I have the language changed and am able to type chinese in libre writer but I am trying to get a MSW like onboard keyboard so I can see and build the caricatures/words(bopomofo).
Unity-greeter crashes, and constantly respawns, not letting me in. So, I configured auto login but that won't start anything except Unity session. I changed the lightdm.conf file to run Xubuntu but Unity still shows up. If I create a new user, it will start in Xubuntu just fine.
Okay, I'm not sure what type of motherboard I have. All I can tell is that I'm using an onboard video card. I just obtained an old NVidia GeForce 6200 and I want to get it working. If possible, I would like to set it up for a second monitor.
After installing ubuntu on my asus transformer tablet with lightdm + onboard (keyboard) for logging in as normal user, the tablet boot up and could not start lightdm.
As I do not have the accompanying keyboard for the tablet, typing startx is not an option unless lightdm can be started and allows onboard to appear in the screen.
On the other hand, if I ssh into the tablet, I can log in as ro
onboard keyboard app no longer works in unity.
i have tried reinstalling it, updating, etc.
Hi
I want to install onboard (=fantastic virtual keyboard) on F17 (64 bit), works perfectly under ubuntu.
I have onboard and a scondary sound card. I would like to use the soundcard instead of the onboard. When I go to the Multimedia - KDE Control ModuleSound and Video ConfigurationI am able to select the sound card: Audigy SE (SB CA0106) and test it using the test button and I can hear the music come out of the sound system I have attached..
I've fallen in love with the Ubuntu onscreen keyboard Onboard, but since it's an Ubuntu project it's not available in the Debian reposI was wondering if there would be a way to get a build in the Crunchbang repos?
