I have openSUSE 11.2 and printer Brother HL-2040 connected to my openSUSE laptop. It was correctly recognized by manufacturer and model and was "automagically" installed by downloading the appropriate driver. Whenever I click "print" its name correctly appears on the page on which you choose where to send the print jobs to. And when I click "print" it prints...
graphical interface successfully located my epson stylus 110 printer and downloaded the drivers.
I printed a ubuntu test page.
The green light is on-on my printer, but when I select something to print, and see the logo
"print executing" and and the bar completed, it doesn't print.
On the print queue behind the above printer logo, it says " printer stopped ".
As usual getting a printer working is like pulling teeth.
I have a Minolta PagePro 1350W. I start cups use locahost:631 and Minolta-PagePro_1350W-min12xxw.ppd file on USB. Admin page reports:

Printer Driver: Minolta PagePro 1350W Foomatic/min12xxw (recommended)
I have a HP 5510 and FC#16. While printing a job, got frustrated at several extra unnecessary pages that were being printed, and, unable to somehow tell the printer to only print the pages required, hit the on/off button and turned off the printer. When we turned the printer back on, nothing would print.
I can confirm this as well, as mentioned in this thread some days ago. It seems that the printer receives the printing data from Linux, but does not receive some kind of "EOF" and therefor it cannot start printing.
I'm having trouble with my HP Laserjet 1020. I'm running Karmic beta, but had the same problem under Jaunty...
If I plug the printer in, it seems to install fine. It uses the Foomatic driver. To print, I have to uncheck "sharing".
Using 11.10.
After installing the special cupswrapper driver for my printer (brother mfc-7220) it works fine when it's directly connected to my computer.
However, when I network the same printer through my router, it prints the job fine but also spits out two or three extra blank pages at the end of each print job.
I have a Kodak ESP C315 printer which used to work perfectly on Ubuntu 11.04 LTS but, since I upgraded to 12.04 LTS, the printer will no longer print from a browser. It prints local documents fine, but when I try to print something from a browser, it prints a blank page whereas, before, it would print the page from the browser fine.
I've just managed to successfully set up my printer (Canon MX320) using the Printing app on Ubuntu 12.04.
