http://ubuntuforums.org – i have a microsoft wireless mouse and a usb hp keyboard attached to a Belkin kvm switch almost identical to this one . I also have a regular ps2 keyboard attacehd (always works) to my ubuntu box (one box is windows and one is ubuntu natty). problems: 1. restart of ubuntu (log out and back in works just fine) the keyboard and mouse attached to the KVM takes 3-5 minutes before they are responsive again after a restart only. 2. when the mouse is finally responsive again the scroll wheel is super sensitive, however this problem is fixed by unplugging the wireless mouse usb receiver and plugging (Hardware)

Hi, I just installed ubuntu 11.10 alongside with windows 7, I have the both operativesystems on two different partitions. But when I start up ubuntu my ordinary mouse and keyboard doesnt work, it's a razer naga mouse and a Microsoft sidewinder keyboard. If I unplug those and plugin an old mouse and keyboard I can log in to then unplug those and use my primary instead.

Hi I have a strange problem. My mouse and keyboard are working without a problem most of the time. But sometimes (no specific situation, can't reproduce) there's a bug and the mouse is jumping around for 1-2 secs and the keyboard is pressing like all keys at once. After those 1-2 seconds its possible that either the keyboard or mouse or both don't react anymore, and I need to restart.

I have a Logitech K800 keyboard and a Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX paired in Windows to a single Unifying receiver. They work great in both Windows and Mac. The mouse and keyboard work for some amount of time, usually 1-30 minutes, before dropping. If I press the volume or calculator buttons on the keyboard, both the mouse and keyboard drop.

I'm currently dual booting Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 Gnome Shell Remix. On a newly built machine. Everything is working amazing except for my keyboard and mouse when switching OS's. If I'm in Ubuntu and restart into Windows 7 many times the mouse will not work or at the least the scroll wheel until I disconnect and reconnect the USB dongle for the mouse.

I have mouse Logitech M505 and keyboard Logitech K340 on same usb wireless receiver. My Ubuntu is up to date.

Problem is that sometimes ubuntu doesn't recognize devices - Lately very often. I seat in front of my login screen and I can't do anything. Even blinking cursor stops in welcome password field.

basically when i have the keyboard attached by itself it work fine, but when i connect the mouse to the bluetooth in the device to keyboard 'jams' on a certain key, like AAAAAAAAAAAAA...but over and over, i was wondering if anyone has either had the same

im am running in to a similar problem. Dell e521 having trouble with usb mouse and keyboard. During installation i lost the mouse and was forced to restart when the keyboard stopped workin also. Af... [by Jataadroid]

I recently upgraded to 12.10 from 12.04, I have a wireless Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse (both ise the same dongle) my mouse works but the keyboard doesn't (it types random things) but my wired keyboard works just fine, is there a fix for this?
