I am new to Ubuntu, the desktop that it(Ubuntu) is installed on does not have a cd drive yet. I think I have found one on newegg but i am worried that it will not be supported by Ubuntu because it is not listed in the compatibility section. Here is the link if someone could check it out and tell me if it will work.

Just a short Tutorial today. It’s surprising how many people do not know this. To change the hostname under Linux, open a terminal window. Type the following code.
sudo nano /etc/hosts
and change the text to your new hostname. Changes will take effect on Restart.
This usb adapter is not working with ubuntu 10.04 64 bit! Please someone tell me what to do! I used ndisk, and it has the latest driver, now, but no networks show up on the menu! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-187-_-Product
I need to get a new power supply as my last one blew up and would like to get some recommendations. Personal experience is very welcome here, so if you've got a power supply that has been working for you for a very long time I would love to hear about it.
