I was hoping someone might be able to help my no sound problem.
Hello, new user to Ubuntu Netbook Remix and had a question about resuming from suspend. I have a Toshiba NB205 netbook and I have the classic issues that come with it being installed with Ubuntu, no bluetooth and no speaker output. I was able to get my bluetooth to work with the omnibook-source code, but only when I boot it up.
I'm using Ubuntu 12.10, and I'm not getting any sound from my Toshiba Satellite P100's internal speakers. I have an Intel NM10/ICH7 Family High Definition Audio Controller, and it's recognized by the system when I type lspci -v | grep -A7 -i "audio" into the CLI. My sound card is also listed in the Ubuntu sound card matrix, so it should be supported.

I upgraded to the latest ubuntu version, karmic cola and every since I have had trouble with my sound. I have a Toshiba Tecra and my sound worked with the last version of ubuntu but every since I upgraded the sound has been glitchy. It started with just having trouble when I let it hibernate.
Hi, I am running Karmic Koala 9.10 beta on an ASUS eeepc 1000 and the sound that comes from the built in speakers decided to stop working. The headphone jack has sound but the built in speakers don't. This was an issue as well when I was running Jaunty Jackalope 9.04 and now it seems to be back. I have tried experimenting with various sound settings with no success. Any help is appreciated.
Yesterday, I installed Ubuntu 10.04 on a Toshiba Satellite L650. After the installation, my sound worked correctly. After some fiddling to get the internet to work, I installed all the updates.
After the updates were installed (which included a new kernel), plugging in the headphones didn't mute the speakers anymore. The sound-quality however was still splendid.
hello fellow ubuntu users, I have a Toshiba p875 s7200 laptop and at first I had no sound (except through headphones), then I installed alsa-hda-dkms and had sound from speakers, but I was having another issue with the system freezing.
