Hi everyone,
I am running a very recent (two weeks ago) install of Ubuntu 12.04. All packages are up to date.
I tried plugging in my iPod Nano G5 with Banshee running, and Banshee froze. I had to force quit to kill it. The same thing happened when I plugged in my iPod and then launched Banshee after.
So I switched to Rhythmbox. All seemed well at first.
I see somewhere that Apple doesn't no longer support libgpod in iPhone4/iPod Touch 4 and Nano 6g. I see also that the system of databases for those new device have to be the same.
I have been trying to get some MP3's i have bought from Amazon onto my wife's ipod nano 6th generation. I have been using Banshee, I drag the file to the Ipod and it adds the MP3 track to the Ipod when in Banshee, but as soon as I eject or disconnect the Ipod from Ubuntu, and look the playlist on the ipod none of the songs I dragged over are added. Please any assistance or tips is accepting.
Hi,
I seem to be having trouble syncing playlists made in Rhythmbox onto my ipod. I can sync music fine but can find no way to do the playlist. Dragging & dropping doesn't work. If I right click on the ipod in the device section & go to properties, then the sync tab, under sync preferences it only offers me music & podcast options. Surely there must be a way around this?
I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 and the banshee media player that was included, I am trying to drag and drop songs to my ipod and it prepares to sync and fully syncs when i look at my ipod as a device on the computer it shows the artists that i put onto it but when i look on the ipod itsself the songs are no where to be found.
Hi everyone,
I've searched everywhere to see if others had the same problem (both forums and general internet search). No luck.
I can run Banshee fine, import an iTunes music library, and play music. But when I plug in my iPod (Nano G5), instead of detecting the iPod, Banshee freezes. Now Ubuntu itself detects the iPod just fine.
I have read other threads, including launchpad complaint of the same nature. Yet I feel the need.
Unlike the problem here: Rhythmbox iPod Issues?
when I sync Ipod and Rhythmbox, the song does get transferred.
When I sync my music using my windows 7 partition and itunes, my music plays fine. When I sync it using Ubuntu 12.04 and Rhythmbox, songs tend to skip, get cut short a few minutes, or just disappear from my iPod completely. I would rather not have to restart my computer into a different OS just to sync my iPod. Is there any way to fix this?
So I finally got my Ipod Touch 5 to sync to my computer with Banshee but when I try transfer music from the computer to my Ipod it just wont.. I mean like when I drag a mp3 file over to the "Ipod touch" tab at the bottom left it says "Importing 1 of 1" and bellow that it says "Scanning" and I check on my Ipod the file isn't there...
