I have Ubuntu 12.04. I was downloading something via Aria... and then it suddenly stopped. There was no connection to the Internet.
I tried to ping the host but there was no reply. Also tried to ping the route 192.168.250.1 but there was no reply.
Hey guys,
i need your help: I am running an S-OFF device with CyanogenMod and yesterday it suddenly stopped working without flashing or something like that. The phone does't react on touch input and all hardware-buttons stopped working.
The weird thing is that i can boot into flastboot and there the volume-keys and the power key are working.
I was using NoMachine to access Ubuntu 11.10 when suddenly the internet on Ubuntu stopped working.
My laptop was running smoothly until yesterday. Today, I can't connect to the Internet at home anymore. I am only able to access the router, but no Internet access.
A have a Dell Latitude E6320 with Ubuntu 12.04. At my job, I don't have any problems connecting this laptop both via wireless and ethernet. At home, if I try connecting it through Windows it does work fine.
My Wireless internet stopped working after I recently updated my software. It just isn't working. Under Network tab it doesn't even show wireless. I tried turning wireless drivers off and on again but it didn't help. Also rebooting didn't do anything.
Help please?
Thank you
Hi,
I'm new to Linux, Ubuntu and to this forum, I checked some of the other posts already to see if any of them would solve my problem and I haven't been able to figure it out.
I installed Ubuntu 10.04 a couple of months ago and haven't had many problems till today when the internet suddenly stopped working.
My internet just went out on me. I originally thought the wifi card stopped working. It won't even let me "Enable wireless networking." I hooked my laptop up to the router to see if I could just reinstall the drivers. It showed my cards driver as deactivated, but it won't reactivate. When I'm hooked up directly it won't let me do anything either.
I turned on my laptop the other day and noticed that Gnome was not using fancy graphics mode. As far as I know there is no reason my drivers should have stopped working, as I haven't made any upgrades or changes to the system. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I've upgraded it some time ago so it has nothing to do with the upgrade.
As weird as it sounds!
Ubuntu has suddenly stopped replying to computers in my local network, while I can still login if I login to my router first.
The ubuntu box has a static IP assigned, but it won't work with DHCP either.
iptables is disabled, and the box runs MPD and the transmission bit torrent client.
I used to be able to access its services or SSH from everywhere on the network (as you wou
