I installed ubuntu on an ASUS Eee PC and now the internal keyboard doesn't work at all. I chose to install only Ubuntu over a previous Windows 7 installation. Opted for the automatic partitioning option, did not chose encrypt home directory. I choose US keyboard, although this machine is from Canada, but if it was just a layout issue, some keys should work. Am I missing a driver?
I have been struggling to get my two graphics cards to work. One is on the board and one is not. I can change the BIOS on my MSI motherboard to "Internal, PCI, or PCI-E". Internal of course the one on the board becomes available. If I use PCI or PCI-E the card is used but the internal just doesn't show up at all on the system.
Hi! I'm new to Ubuntu, or rather, I'm new to the terminal, so I'm hoping this isn't answered in another thread. I've been at it for two days now, can't seem to figure this out, although I've read everything I can come across.
Hey guys!: :)
So here's what happened:
I tried to change some audio settings on Pulseaudio.
Under 'Playback', there is supposed to be 'System sounds, Mono' and under that Internal Audio Speakers, if i remember right :D
I accidentally right clicked under the Internal Audio Speakers and clicked 'Delete' or 'Remove' or something like that by accident.
And now i have no sound.
I need to get the Inter
I had no problem with internal speaker/headphone audio on Lubuntu (Acer Aspire One netbook), but wanted to use HDMI audio, which didn't work. I therefore installed Pulse Audio. This made HDMI audio work, but internal speaker stopped working (I think I can hear some very quiet clicking when there should be sound).
I'd be very grateful for any help for getting HDMI and internal sound working.
Scenario: Internal drive on my laptop died. Have been running on external USB drive for several months. Finally replaced internal drive, now I want to move everything from the external drive to the new drive and use the internal drive only.
I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 latest version (36?) . The internal drive is 60GB, partitioned as root, home, and tmp.
I have a Compaq 110c Mini Netbook. It has Karmic on it right now. The internal mic is not working. I have tested it using sound recorder and it doesn't pick up anything. I do not know if it worked on Jaunty, as I installed Jaunty a few days ago and then upgraded to Karmic. Any ideas?
