http://ubuntuforums.org – I know the "Fake RAID" question has been beaten to death around here, but everything I've seen involves installing GRUB to the array. This is not my intention, and I am looking for community feedback regarding my specific scenario. I have an Intel DG45ID mATX motherboard which has ICH10R southbridge. This is the latest and greatest chipset for Intel Matrix Storage Technology and supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5 and 10. I currently have a 250GB Western Digital SATA 3.0 drive (may switch to 128GB SSD soon for performance reasons, but that's a different story) with Karmic insta (Hardware)
