Hey guys, so I'm currently in the process of building my own computer and I've decided to use Ubuntu as an operating system. I'm going to be dual booting Windows 8 since I'm using it mainly for games. Well anyway, the processor I got comes with a free code for SimCity. My question is: Has anyone been able to run this game on wine?
I know that it is possible to run Sim City 4 Deluxe, as this page clearly proves so.

I have tried two different commands, and the paths are all right, but when I enter them, I simply get a blank terminal line.
WINEDEUB=-all wine C:\\Program\ Files\ \(x86\)\\Maxis\\SimCity\ 4\ Deluxe\\Apps\\SimCity\ 4.exe -d:software -intro:o
I've done a lot of search and I couldn't find any thing similar to what I need !
I just want a software or and command line method that let's me have many virtual usbs on my ubuntu .
at last I want to use them to be seen by virtual machines in virtual box to do some backup operations .
I need it to be a virtual usb not a virtual hard disk .
any help !!
Hi,I've just got a few questions about virtual machines, for one do you need all the system resources for both operating systems?
This might be a silly question, but... Is there any hypervisor or other virtualization solution which supports a "virtual IPMI" for virtual machines? I.e. would allow access to something that looks like power control, a serial-over-lan console, etc. to a virtual machine.
This is really not the right way for managing virtual machines, I know.
I am playing with virtual hosts in Fedora 12, trying to install various versions of Windows, various distro of Linux, and some other OS. One problem is that I don't always know how much disk space is need for each of the OS. Some may change the disk usage after install, for example, online update for Windows.

Hi there!
I recently downloaded an old game, Dune 2000, that I used to play when I was a kid off Abandonia.com and tried to play it in Wine.
At my company we are starting to experiment with Windows 8, Visual Studio 11 and Team Foundation Server 11.
