I have an OS X Lion recovery stick that I would like to access, specifically to use it to install Lion in a Virtualbox VM. I notice that Windows detects and mounts the recovery stick as an optical drive. I know the drive works, because I am able to install Lion from it on a Mac. In Ubuntu, the drive does not automount, and I cannot figure out how to mount it manually.

Most of my computers are running either Leopard or Snow Leopard (one iMac is a PowerPC so I can't upgrade to Lion).
I'd like to use Open Directory for all my network authentication but I want to make sure that the Lion Server can authentica
Namely that after installing Ubuntu 12.04 and going to log in, I am met with a frozen slate of a desktop in which nothing loads (at longest I've sat for 30 minutes, reading, whilst nothing changes) and only the mouse moves.
Its not a blank screen, its the desktop that one is normally greeted with, just with nothing loaded.
So far I've tried http://askubuntu.com/questions/15715...-12-04-upgrade
I put on Lion on my mac ... a biiiiiiiig mistake. The machine is only 1yr

one of the install disks for the os before Snow Leopard and the snow leopard disk
was an upgrade and with Lion on it, wouldn't work anyway ...so left without a
usable operating system.
