[ubuntu] Installing packages from a burned dvd

view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I installed a stock 12.04 32 bit OS for a friend last night, he has no internet access where the computer is located. I would like to burn some packages (and their required dependencies) on a dvd to take over to him. Is there an easy way to do this? I need vlc and plugins for video/audio. Keep in mind, the OS is stock and has not had an opportunity to update/upgrade. Any tips to accomplish this? (Hardware)
